What ink should I use?
This is not a comprehensive list.
Probably one of the most common questions I get (besides how long does a Zebra G last in a pen?) is what ink I should use. I don’t say a lot of about it because there is so much variation in what people want to do and how they use their tools. I touch on the subject in the User Manual. In this blog post, I’ll list the inks that are best for “railroad-proof-ness”. That is, the ability of these inks to keep up with the demands from the user under a variety of circumstances.
It is worth noting that, the more freely the ink can keep up, the less detail you’ll be able to achieve if you’re interested in fine calligraphy, such as 90º corners at your baselines, for example.
What follows is not a comprehensive list.
Waterman
Inspired Blue
Iroshizuku
Tsuyu-kusa
Noodler’s
Bad Blue Heron (when the batch is good, it’s unbeatable)
Private Reserve
Blue Suede.
